High-performance testing for dynamic e-drives at ATESTEO

Five innovative test benches for hybrid and e-drives

After the commissioning and successful overload tests, Hall 3, at leading drivetrain testing specialist ATESTEO’s HQ in Alsdorf, has been completed. Hall 3 is now a synonym for future-oriented innovation. Here, ATESTEO has realized something unique: The testing of hybrid drivetrains and EDUs up to the maximum possible rotational speeds. With Hall 3, ATESTEO offers the automotive industry the first and only high-performance testing facility for high performance EDUs.

Tests for rotational speeds up to 25,000 rpm and torques figures up to 800 Nm can be run on a total of five test benches. Various load points can also be tested permanently in the overload range, load limits successfully exceeded. The five new and innovative electric machines are water cooled and offer superior efficiency and temperature control even when operating at the high speeds and in the overload range.
